Most injections wear off in weeks or months. Arthrosamid® is different: it’s a non-biodegradable hydrogel designed to integrate with your joint lining and support long-lasting improvement. It’s a doctor-led option for suitable patients who want a clear plan and a treatment pathway that supports movement and confidence again. Results vary.
Single Treatment
Arthrosamid Injection
Arthrosamid® is an advanced, non-surgical treatment designed to provide long-lasting relief from knee osteoarthritis pain. It is injected directly into the knee joint, where it integrates with the synovial lining to help reduce inflammation and improve joint function. Unlike temporary injections that wear off quickly, Arthrosamid® remains within the joint, supporting long-term comfort and mobility. Over time, it works with your body’s natural processes to improve cushioning within the joint, helping you return to daily activities with greater ease and confidence. Results vary.

How Arthrosamid® Works
A synovial scaffold approach designed to change the joint environment — not just mask symptoms.
The hydrogel combines with the synovial tissue to form a permanent, cushioning scaffold.
Helps to dampen the inflammatory environment within the joint, reducing stiffness and pain.
Restores viscosity and elasticity to the synovial fluid, improving overall joint function.

When you have a question, chances are someone else has too. Here are the answers to the most common questions about our product.
Arthrosamid® is an innovative, non-biodegradable polyacrylamide treatment that's injected directly into your knee joint. It integrates with the synovial tissue, acting as a support that reduces friction and inflammation. Unlike hyaluronic acid injections that break down over months, Arthrosamid® provides sustained relief for up to 5+ years.
Arthrosamid® is ideal for patients with mild to moderate knee osteoarthritis who haven't responded well to conservative treatments like physiotherapy or steroid injections. During your consultation, Mr S N Abbas will assess your condition, review imaging, and determine if Arthrosamid® is the right option for you.
The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia, so you shouldn't feel significant pain during the injection. Some patients experience mild discomfort or pressure. Any post-procedure soreness is typically minimal and resolves within a few days.
The actual injection takes about 15 minutes. Including preparation and ultrasound guidance setup, your total appointment time is approximately 30-45 minutes. You can walk out of the clinic the same day.
Many patients notice some improvement within 24-48 hours. However, the full benefits typically develop over 4-12 weeks as the solution fully integrates with your joint tissue. Clinical studies show sustained pain relief for 5+ years post-treatment.
